P2c Blog post -March

Hello from P2c

We are having a very busy time preparing for our show and we have now got all our costumes ready! Last week we were learning the a-e spelling words-  a split digraph did you know?! R quickly realised the word pancake followed this spelling pattern, so of course we then made pancakes!  We made them with mashed banana, soya milk and flour. We talked about using different ingredients for allergies and intolerances which also linked in well with our human body topic! This all stemmed from children’s conversations!  We have been continuing working on division.  We made shapes and talked about what multiplication or division calculation we hade shown. For example a joiner needed to make 4 triangle windows, how many lengths of wood would he need. We started to read book  “fraction faire”. Can you guess what our next concept we are learning about?

P2M Update!

We have been learning about the magic ‘e’ sound! We have learned ‘i_e’ ‘a_e’ and ‘o_e’. We have been learning to write rhyming poems and explanations about the human body.

We have been practicing to count in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s. We have been learning about multiplication and division. We have been learning to tell the time on a clock, during Maths with Miss Hendrie.

We are still working on our Human Body topic. We have been learning and testing our five sense; hearing, smell, taste, touch and sight.

We have been getting ready for our school show! We have been practicing all our songs and some dance moves. We have also been working hard to make our own costumes.  We hope to see you there!

Love the boys and girls of P2M 🙂
