P3M Blog IT! 7.6.19

Hello everyone,

Here is a little snapshot of what we have been up to in P3m =]TOPIC

Lucy – I have made my own fact file about Africa. I have been creating mind maps to help me remember the information.

Cara – I chose to write about Camels.  I researched Camels and I found out that the word Camel means Beauty in Arabic.

Allegra – We have been using chalks to draw Lions. We used rainbow colours.

Callum S – I have been learning about the Goliath Frog. It is the biggest frog in the world.

Eden – I have been working on my African Presentation and I am looking forward to sharing it with the class.

NUMERACY AND MATHS

Ruaridh – We have been learning about fractions.  Tenths, thirds, halves, wholes, fifths, quarters and three quarters.

Lucas – We have been measuring water and learning about capacity.

Erika – We have been learning how to read scales when measuring liquids.

Gracie – We made some fractions in pizza boxes and delivered them around the school.

PE

Jake – We have been doing Orienteering. We have learned how to read a map and use symbols.

William – We have been running a marathon. Our goal is to run a marathon by the end of term.  So far I have ran over half a marathon.

Gracie – We have been doing hurdles. We had to run and jump over the hurdles without knocking them over.

LITERACY

Ana – I have been learning how to write a summary.

Lauren – In spelling we have been learning the split digraph e-e. I can read and write lots of e-e words.

Alana – In French we have been learning about what they eat in schools in France and we are learning fruit and vegetable words.

Lewis – In French we have learned what a school lunch menu looks like in France.

Erika – We have made our own books about Africa and we put all our writing in the book.

Skills Academy

Oakley – We went up to P4 and learned how to chop fruit.

William – We were learning how to set a table properly for two people.

Jessica D – We learned how to fold clothes and hang washing up.

Evan – We learned how to tie various knots with shoe laces and neck ties.
