This week we concentrated on spending quality time with our children. A very good way to spend time without it costing a fortune is to do some home baking, it’s very easy to write down a recipe and turn it into an experience where you go and buy the ingredients together then make something delicious to share. We chose to make pancakes which were a huge success. While everyone was waiting their turn to cook their batter we had construction toys and books out to keep everyone occupied. The way the pancakes disappeared at the end I can safely say it was a great success.
As you know we had our outdoor area extended and we’ve been working very hard to make it lovely for the children. We had parent helpers dig the beds (thank you again!) then we all got involved in planting. Its going to be very exciting watching everything grow.
As part of all the work in our garden we’ve also been learning about mini beasts. We’ve made some mini beasts in the craft area, built a bug hotel and even had some children bring some real live bugs in to nursery to let everyone see.
