Literacy- Reading  Task

Today, read the information passage about the artist, Frida Kahlo.  Then use the questionnaire to answer some questions about the artist. This will help tomorrow when we look at writing a short fact file for one of the artists on the weekly grid (or you can choose to write about a different artists if you’d prefer).

P1 Home Learning Thursday 14th

Morning P1. I hope you are all well this morning. Today’s activity is all about having some fun with capacity and measuring out liquids. The magic potion shop is running very low can you help them to restock their shelves?

Note to parents- Recipes are just for guidance, you can alter amounts to make them less (especially if you are using kitchen supplies), add food colouring, glitter, washing up liquid etc to make the ingredients and use anything you have to hand like cups, teaspoons etc to measure out.

Hope you have lots of fun with this.

Frida Kahlo reading comprehension

Good morning and well done to those of you who shared your art work so far.  We’ve enjoyed looking at your lovely creations and we’re pleased to see some of you have also started writing your own invitations for Friday’s art gallery.

Today, read the information passage about one of my favourite artists, Frida Kahlo.  Then use the questionnaire to answer some questions about the artist. This will help tomorrow when we look at writing a short fact file for one of the artists on the weekly grid (or you can choose to write about a different artists if you’d prefer).

You can also continue to choose any of the options on the art grids to complete.  So far, at home, we’ve looked at Paul Klee and Steven Brown, and later today we’re hoping to look at Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Bridget Riley.  I can recommend wearing an art top or apron!

These are amazing! Such great ideas you have. Thanks for sending them in.  I have now worked out how to upload pictures you email to the blog.  I am still learning too!  I can post pictures as long as children’s names do not appear on them.
