Lovely and fun afternoon with the children today.  They had brilliant ideas and descriptions of how our body reacts when we feel big emotions.  Lots of great discussion, great ideas and lots of laughing! Can’t wait to launch emotion works to the whole school next session with these fabulous helpers!

This week we read Pinocchio and Cinderella.  We talked about little and big lies and the importance of honesty and we talked about feelings when we read Cinderella.  We made our own magic wands to put on display in Fairyland!

I also loved HAPPY shark ANGRY shark!

Cock-a-doodle-doo what a farmyard hullabaloo!  The stage was invaded with a variety of farm animals this morning!  Boys and girls-you were fantastic, Mrs McKay is so proud of each and every one of you.  There was so much to remember-lines to say, stories to read, songs to sing and dances too! I know you are so disappointed that it’s all over-you enjoyed performing to your audience.  Have a relaxing weekend-you all thoroughly deserve it.

This morning, The Fantastics took their learning outdoors.

We had a discussion about what natural materials the children might find, including sticks, pebbles, feathers and leaves.

The children chose a leader for each team and decided what pictures they were going to make. There was lots of discussion about sticks being longer and shorter or equal, what could be symmetrical in the pictures, and the feeling of the different materials like moss (light), stones (smooth) and tree bark (rough).

Both of the groups made wonderful house pictures. They added details like a road with a car on it, and a rabbit in the garden!

Well done everyone. One of the groups said that their leader had told them exactly what to do and that made them work better!
