Active School E-newsletter Highlights:

Active School E-newsletter Highlights:

This summary captures some of the highlights from Active Schools over the last few months alongside current guidelines on staying active in the coming weeks. This includes tips, guidance and links to daily content via social media from Monday 20th April.

Up until the enforced school closures, Term 2 had been extremely busy as Active Schools continued to develop opportunities for pupils to engage in sport and physical activity. Whilst Active Schools look forward to welcoming you back to their clubs and programmes, for the meantime their message remains, ‘stay safe and stay home’.

It is highlighted that participation in sport brings many well-known benefits to people such as improving physical health and reducing stress and anxiety. Therefore, it is more important than ever to make use of the resources and guidance available from Active Schools. This content can be found on their website, Twitter account or our more focussed Broxburn cluster account. All of these links can be found below:

As discussed, these accounts will be updated with daily tips and advice so please make use of them. They include challenges set by local clubs such as Broxburn United Sports Club, which I have attached in the following link as an example:

Finally, I have attached some photographs in this post which contain websites and tips for staying healthy at home.

Welcome Back

Welcome back, we have missed you all.

We hope you had a lovely break and are ready for Term 4.  Staff are looking forward to hearing from you all.   Our P4-7 pupils will continue learning @MicrosoftTeams while resources for Nursery-P3 pupils will be available on our school glow blog.

Term 4 is going to feel very different, however we will get through this together.  Stay safe!
