P2/1 Home Learning Activities Thursday 13th Aug

Good morning P2, I hope that you all enjoyed your first day back at school, I know that I really enjoyed seeing all your smiling faces back in class. I’m very much looking forward to welcoming you back again on Friday.

I am attaching 3 short activities that I would like you to look at today. One is all about what you think makes a good friend. In class yesterday we talked about kindness and how we can spread some kindness to our new P1 class mates so know I would like you to think about how we can be good friends them and your new P2 class mates.

The other two tasks are focusing on yourself and your learning so far in school in P1 and outside of school. One of them is to draw a picture and tell me about 3 things that you all ready know about or can do really well. The other is then to set yourself some goals of things you would like to achieve this year.

I thought it would be helpful for you to think about what you are good at first before setting your goals.

If you are able to you can email in your work to the school office, or you can have a chat with me about it on Friday.

I hope you have a lovely day, see you tomorrow at 8:55!

Home Learning Activities

Week 15th June – 19th June.

Hello everyone, we hope that you had a nice weekend and enjoyed taking part in last week’s virtual sports week. It was lovely to see some videos and photos of you taking part in the activities. Can you believe that we only have two more weeks left before the summer holiday? What a quick year it has been.

Over the year we have learnt lots of new things and have looked at how to be safe in school, when crossing the road and how to look after ourselves and stay healthy. There are a couple more things that we would like you to work on over the next two weeks though and one of them is how to keep yourself safe at home.

We are going to share with you a power point that shows you different ways to stay safe at home, there will be questions and activities for you look at throughout the power point and there will be separate activities you may like to do as well.

Activities:

· A Safe House Sheet.

· Learning my contact details.

· Become a Health and Safety Advisor for the day. With an adult have a look around your home and see if there is anything you could do to make things safer or what do you already have in place to keep you safe. (plug covers, medicine cupboard, etc).

· Hazard house quiz.

· I feel safe at home when… sheet.

We will also post another esti-mystery for you to do on Tuesday and Thursday as well. Please do not feel that you have to compete all of these activities, they are there as a guideline of the kind of thing we would be working on with the children in school and you can pick and choose what you would like to do over the course of the week. We would recommend though going over some contact details with your child though if they do not know this already. There is also still time to take part in our secret P7 buddy mission so record a good luck message.

Thank you once again for your continued fantastic effort and enthusiasm with all of these home learning tasks.

Calling all P1s we have another secret mission for you!

Hi P1, Mrs McKay and I would like to ask for your help on another secret mission. As you will know we are getting near to the end of term and our amazing P7 buddies are going to be moving on to high school. We thought it would be lovely if you could record them a short video to say good luck. If you can’t record a video maybe you could make a little poster saying good luck and take a photo of you holding it up. This will then be shown at their leavers assembly.

If you would like to help us can you send your video/photo to the school email address by Monday.

Thank you so much and remember its TOP SECRET!
