Halloween 🎃 in Primary 1

What a fun, bus learning week in Primary 1.

As this was Halloween 🎃 week we took our inspiration from this.
To start with we were working on science 🧪 mixing materials together to make a new material, we made slime. It was lots of fun.

We thought about how we could not separate the materials again and put it back to how we got them, once mixed and turned into slime it was stuck that way.

This then made us think about melting, we can melt water 💧 and then turn it back into ice 🧊, but we can’t do that with everything. We melted jelly blocks in hot water and let them set in the fridge. Once made we could not turn it back to water and jelly. Again this was lots of fun and we got to take our jelly potion home.

We stuck with the same theme of Halloween 🎃 and mixing, this time it was powder and water 💧 to make icing sugar. We also found out that we couldn’t switch it back to powder and water. We had a great time icing biscuits and decorating them.

On Thursday we had a spooky session in the woods for our outdoor learning. We were joined by Primary 6 and had lots of fun.

On Friday we celebrated All Saints Day with mass in the school. We were very respectful during the service and sang beautifully.

Have a lovely weekend.
