P3 💷♻️

It has been a very busy and exciting week in P3!

We have been learning all about recycling and the different types of rubbish. The children explored how to sort waste correctly and why it is important to look after our environment. As part of this topic, everyone designed and created their own recycling icons, thinking carefully about how to clearly represent different materials.

In maths, we have been working hard on pictograms and money. The children practised reading and creating pictograms, helping them to organise and understand information in a visual way.

We also focused on recognising coins and notes and learning how to make different amounts. To make this even more fun, we used our class Tesco role play area, where the children could practise paying for items and working out totals. This hands-on experience helped build confidence when using money in real-life situations.

We also enjoyed some outdoor learning this week, where P3 worked together to build their own dens. P3 showed great teamwork, problem-solving skills and creativity while designing and constructing their shelters.
