Good morning P4b. Your first task this morning is a piece of Writing. I would like you to write a story about “The Brave Dog”. You can use your imagination to write a story where a dog does something really brave. Does it save you from a dangerous situation? Does it stop a crime? Your success criteria is this: 1. Your story should contain 5 sentences which make me go wow! 2. Your story should contain 5 joining words which are high quality (not just and or because) You can use a thesaurus to help 3. Your story should describe what’s happening using the 5 senses. What can you see? What can you hear? What can you touch? What can you smell? What can you taste? For example, if your dog is rescuing someone from a fire, you would hear people shouting, you would smell the smoke etc. Your job is to use describing words to make your story really exciting to read.
You can post your finished stories to your own profiles or send them to me through the school email address: wlstjohnogilvie-ps@westlothian.org.uk If you are writing them in your jotter, you could take a picture and send it.

Keep up the great work everyone and remember to help out your family. Always remember kind hands, kind feet and kind words. 🙂

Good Morning Awesome Ogilvies,
We wanted to to let you know how and when your teachers would be sharing learning with you while you are at home.
Your teachers will post twice per day. This will be at around 9.15am and 12.15pm.
For pupils in P4-P7 who are being set learning using Teams, you will be able to ask questions about your tasks during the school day. Your teacher will not access Teams before 9am in the morning or after 4.30pm in the afternoon. Any questions, comments or work uploaded during this time will be looked at after 9am the following morning.
Thank you
