P7 Thursday 26th

Hello Primary 7

Hope you have been keeping well. We have set you a little challenge today all to do with movies!

Start with a mental maths exercise – https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

You maths posted below is working out times linked to a cinema timetable.

cinema timetable (1)

Your literacy is to create a storyboard that can be turned into a movie. Use one of these plans – Word or pdf to plan out your story and what you want to film – or you can draw your own storyboard in your jotter.

SB1 or SB2  or Storyboard

Your afternoon tasks it to make a stop motion animation. You can make this using any device you want, the challenge is to film it one frame at a time (There is a really good app called Stop Motion Studio if you are allowed to download apps)

Use your storyboard from this morning to guide your filming –  this will show every frame that you are going to include in your animation. It can feature any characters you want, for example toys you have around the house.

Below is a link to a clip that will give you some helpful pointers of how to make an animation.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you can create – if recorded on a phone or tablet, you should be able to post into Teams like people have posted photos of their work.

Body Percussion Music

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying this different way of learning.

Here is a link to a daily body percussion (making music using your body) that everyone can try.  I did a workshop with Ollie from Beat Goes On back in September and all of the adults that were there had great fun!

Enjoy yourselves!
