Good Morning Awesome Ogilvies. I hope you are all well and following the rules to keep yourself safe. Well done for engaging enthusiastically with your learning this week. Have a good weekend and try to give your brains a break. I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful work next week. Remember that you will be learning lots of new things even if you are not always completing tasks that have been set for you. Be kind to yourself and to the people who are caring for you. It is a very unusual situation for all of us. Stay safe and look after one another.

Good afternoon St John Ogilvie! We should have been gathering together today as a school family to have an assembly. As we can’t do this, I thought that I would post a short message to you all to check in and make sure that everyone is safe and well.
We were going to be talking about children’s rights today in preparation for the visit from UNICEF to try and get our Silver Award for Rights Respecting Schools. This should have been taking place next week but Mrs Miller is re-arranging this for when we are all back together. I know that you have learned a lot about your rights through work in the class and in our house groups. Your teachers are working hard to make sure that you are still learning as you have a right to this. Keep working hard on the tasks being set here and on Teams. Don’t forget to upload your work to your personal learning blog, your parents have had an email with instructions on how to do this so please ask them for help if you need it.
You have the right to play, exercise and relax so be sure to take part in these activities throughout the day. A good balance of learning from the tasks set by your teachers first thing in the morning and again at around lunchtime; along with playing, relaxing and getting some fresh air and exercise (while sticking to the rules!) should help to keep your body and mind healthy.
Have a lovely weekend, look forward to chatting with you again next week.

Good morning St John Ogilvie!
We should have been having an assembly this morning where we love to come together to celebrate our amazing school family. As we can’t do that, I thought that I would send you a message to say that we miss you all!
I hope that everyone is well and taking care of yourselves and your families. Take care and remember to show our school values every day.

Good morning and I hope you are all well today. Our number of the day is 2679 and remember you have eight different things to do with this number! Next you could work through the ” pick a number ” activity which asks you to solve various calculations working backwards . Afterwards I would like you to complete a book review based on our class novel Pig Heart Boy, where you are required to, describe characters, think of important events and give the book a star rating! You could also design an alternative front cover for the novel but keeping the original title. Have a great morning and I look forward to seeing your posted work.

Good morning,
Today should be the final day of your workout challenge set to you on Monday. Really work hard today and dig deep to complete as many of the exercise as you can before the time runs out.
Once you have completed your learning please post your results on your personal learning blog.
I can’t wait to see your results!

Good Morning Primary 7, here are your tasks for today.
RE – we are now over half way through Lent so it is a good time for some reflection, have you been sticking to your Lenten promise? Remember Lent is about Prayer, Fasting and Alms-giving(charity), are you trying to do these three things? What could you do more? The task below is to ‘Turn over a new leaf’ where have you maybe made mistakes and what could you do differently and also to come up with your own prayer.
HWB – what makes a good friend? I look forward to seeing these posted, do you have the qualities you like seeing in your friends?
Science – a fun task to finish with. You have to make your own parachute, there is a list of materials but you can use whatever you can find in the house as you might not have all of these to hand – just do your best with what you’ve got available. Do be careful if using scissors and best to throw your parachute up and let it fall than dropping it from a window – we don’t want any injuries!
Have a great weekend when it comes P7!
