Good afternoon everyone, I hope you have enjoyed your learning today. We would like you to write an imaginative story entitled “The Ascent”. Remember to use ambitious vocabulary and plan your story carefully. You could print off the worksheet if you have access to a printer at home. Alternatively you could write the story in your red jotter. Continuing with our creative theme, we would like you to research the Artist Kadinsky and find out about his life and his style of art. Then try and design your own circle painting in his style. Have a great afternoon and remember to post the finished products on your e portfolios.

Good afternoon P7.
You should now hopefully have your story planned out on your storyboard – I’ve seen one or two posted on E-portfolios and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished version.
I tried the Stop Motion app last night and it seems quite straight forward – if old Mr McGurn can use it the I’m sure you can.
Follow your storyboard taking multiple pictures moving your characters a little bit after each photo. You will need many photos for each scene of your storyboard. After taking ALL the pictures, you can record the soundtrack – putting in voices and sound effects. The app is free and you only need to use the free features – DO NOT buy any of the in-app purchases, you don’t need them!

Or if you are used to using another app then that is fine too.
Before filming you might want to watch this:
Nick Park is the writer and director of Wallace and Gromit and here they explain how to do stop motion animation.
When you are finished, export your video to your camera roll/photos app and upload to the Teams Posts section. I am really looking forward to seeing your creativity.
If you finish then your treat is to watch some more Wallace and Gromit here:

or if you are lucky enough to have access to Netflix – the Feature Length Wallace and Gromit films are on there.
Have a great afternoon!

I know some people are having difficulty accessing TEAMS. Don’t worry just try again later. This is the message I posted there today.
Good morning everyone. You have all been working hard on TEAMS. Pleased to see you helping each other.
REMEMBER YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING! IT’s JUST IDEAS TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED.
This week- you can one of the BBC or Inference card as a story starters and carry it on.
Or open a book you haven’t read on a random page and copy out a paragraph. Then carry on the story
If you are interested in learning more sign language then a lady called Natasha Lamb has daily lessons on youtube. It looks really good.
