We hope you have had a great morning and enjoyed your break and lunch. How did you get on with the division facts? Have you played some games on Sumdog?
Here are some suggested activities for this afternoon.
You should now hopefully have your story planned out on your storyboard – I’ve seen one or two posted on E-portfolios and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished version.
I tried the Stop Motion app last night and it seems quite straight forward – if old Mr McGurn can use it the I’m sure you can.
Follow your storyboard taking multiple pictures moving your characters a little bit after each photo. You will need many photos for each scene of your storyboard. After taking ALL the pictures, you can record the soundtrack – putting in voices and sound effects. The app is free and you only need to use the free features – DO NOT buy any of the in-app purchases, you don’t need them!
Or if you are used to using another app then that is fine too.
Before filming you might want to watch this:
Nick Park is the writer and director of Wallace and Gromit and here they explain how to do stop motion animation.
When you are finished, export your video to your camera roll/photos app and upload to the Teams Posts section. I am really looking forward to seeing your creativity.
If you finish then your treat is to watch some more Wallace and Gromit here:
I know some people are having difficulty accessing TEAMS. Don’t worry just try again later. This is the message I posted there today.
Good morning everyone. You have all been working hard on TEAMS. Pleased to see you helping each other.
REMEMBER YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING! IT’s JUST IDEAS TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED.
Today is our story-writing day. You may use Word or your jotter.
This week- you can one of the BBC or Inference card as a story starters and carry it on.
Or open a book you haven’t read on a random page and copy out a paragraph. Then carry on the story
Make some multiplication and division cards like we made at school. Choose the table that you need to practise the most. Decorate brightly and keep them where you can see them.
Remember there are lots of great things you can be doing online – sumdog, prodigy, studyladder, topmarks, watch newsround, keep a journal of your days at home, get some exercise, practice spelling/numeracy skills. Read, draw, do a jigsaw. Stay calm, happy and healthy.
If you are interested in learning more sign language then a lady called Natasha Lamb has daily lessons on youtube. It looks really good.
Here is a grid with some suggested activities for Mrs Dickie’s groups. If anyone else from P2 wants to have a wee try at them, you are very welcome to do so!
Apologies if you couldn’t open this morning’s Powerpoint slide. I have uploaded it now as a PDF document. Good luck!P.3 Daily Tasks 26.3.20‘sh ‘ pics no13
Activity 2- Spelling
Use the grid I sent yesterday and choose two spelling activities to complete
Activity 3- P.E.
Complete a couple of the workouts/ dances with JumpStart Johnny. If you enjoyed it, join in with the live workouts on YouTube at 9am every Monday to Friday. https://www.jumpstartjonny.co.uk/free-stuff
I hope you are all still working hard to complete your weekly circuit, I cannot wait to see everyone’s results tomorrow! Remember to try to push your hardest all the way to the end without giving up and show your determination to do well like I know you all do.
Your literacy is to create a storyboard that can be turned into a movie. Use one of these plans – Word or pdf to plan out your story and what you want to film – or you can draw your own storyboard in your jotter.
Your afternoon tasks it to make a stop motion animation. You can make this using any device you want, the challenge is to film it one frame at a time (There is a really good app called Stop Motion Studio if you are allowed to download apps)
Use your storyboard from this morning to guide your filming – this will show every frame that you are going to include in your animation. It can feature any characters you want, for example toys you have around the house.
Below is a link to a clip that will give you some helpful pointers of how to make an animation.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you can create – if recorded on a phone or tablet, you should be able to post into Teams like people have posted photos of their work.
