Tuesday’s Task

Good Morning everyone.

This morning I have some Easter themed Comprehension activities.  Look carefully for your reading group and select the correct activity. Read through carefully. You can write the answers on a word document to upload straight to your Learning Profile or write in your jotter/notepad.

Easter Story Comp Birch

Easter Story Comp Chestnuts and Oak

Easter Story Comp Sycamore

Pine and Willow groups – you can choose to either or over a couple of days do both.

Easter Comp Mild                      Easter Comp Spicy

I would love to hear what books you are reading.  Pop a post on TEAMS with the title and author of your current book.

Remember to keep practising your tables and division.

I’ll be back with more at 12.15pm

PE Primary 1-3

Good Morning,

I hope you all enjoyed dancing with Maximo and had the chance to explore other channels and try some different dances.  Today we are going to look at a fitness type of dancing which will link into our fitness learning from last week.  I would like you to follow the link below to Go Noodle and dance along with some Zumba lessons, why not get your grown up involved too!

Zumba Kids

Dancing is a great way to develop lots of different skills such as rhythm & timing, coordination, creativity, confidence and many more!

If you are looking for other ways to keep active throughout the day you can also continue to take part in the Joe Wicks Body Coach PE Lesson which is posted on his YouTube Channel each day.  I have posted the link to today’s workout below.

Primary 4B Morning work 31.03.20

Good morning, boys and girls!

I hope you have had a good and restful night and you are all feeling great!

Let’s start the day with a good workout from the body coach to wake up our brains! Just follow the link:

https://www.techradar.com/news/how-to-watch-joe-wicks-pe-workout-online-march-31

After that, we will have work on Literacy and RME, starting with Reading comprehension worksheets about the story of Palm Sunday.

The Mild worksheets have 1 star, the Spicy have 2 stars and the Hot have 3 stars. You can choose the one you prefer according to how challenging you want it to be.

In alternative, you also have the Spring worksheets, also coded with 1,2,3 stars for Mild, Spicy and Hot, respectively.

Please complete only one of them, Palm Sunday or Spring, either Mild, Spicy or Hot and check your answers against the answer sheets provided.

Will post the work to the blog and to Teams but check the blog’s links first since it seems to be working better.

Good work!

Mrs Valente

P7 Tuesday 31/3/20 AM

Good Morning P7!

Literacy for today (and tomorrow so don’t complete every task today!) is a bit more fun since we are winding down for the Easter holidays.

Have you ever heard of Oor Wullie? If you haven’t your parents probably have – I always used to get the Oor Wullie annual for Christmas.  It’s a fun cartoon written in Scots about a mischievous boy who is always finding himself in trouble.  It’s a lot of fun and we hope you’ll enjoy.  The Word document has all the tasks you need to complete and it involves using this website.

We’re awfy lookin forward to seein yer braw work, bairns!

For maths it’s time to see how you have been managing with Algebra.  There is a Revisit Review Revise exercise for Mild, Spicy and Hot.

Start with a bit of mental maths

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

This site is good as you can change the level of challenge and what aspects of mental maths you need to work on.

There is also a daily Number Talks challenge posted here:

Spicy Revisit Review Revise

Hot Revisit Review Revise

Don’t forget to post your work to your own Personal Learning Blogs.

Primary 6 Home Learning Morning Activities.

Good morning everyone! Our number of the day is 4333 and by now you should know that you have eight different things to do with this number. Our maths activity builds on previous learning, requiring comparison of decimals, fractions and percentages.

Next we have a Creative Writing task where you should describe the scene and activities that you may see in your local supermarket. Think about  the unusual circumstances that we find ourselves in today and describe these using super vocabulary in your story. Save some energy for our exciting science task which will be posted at  12.15 pm.

P2 Morning Learning 31st March

Good Morning P2!

I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing evening last night and are ready for another day of learning.

It is Tuesday and that means that it is Writing day!  We have given you the choice of two different tasks.  One is an imaginative story and the other is writing instructions.  We have been working on both of these types of writing this term so here is your chance to have a go on your own.

Remember that you can upload any work you do to your online learning journal and we can see it there.

Have a great morning!
