Primary 7 Tuesday 21st April – AM

Good morning Primary 7!

Here is your work for this morning.

Literacy:  Some reading Comprehension today based on the famous Greek tale of Icarus, you may have heard a warning about flying too high or too close to the sun and this story is where that originates from.  2 Sections of reading with a set of questions for each.  Remember to answer in full sentences ( Capital and full stops) giving as much detail as possible.  Complete on the sheet, into your Home Learning jotter or type into Word and then post to your Personal Learning Blog.

Reading Comprehension Tuesday

Mild Reading Comprehension Tuesday

Spicy Reading Comprehension Tuesday

Hot Reading Comprehension Tuesday

Numeracy and Mathematics: Complete the same BM Learn It from yesterday – try to beat your score or in what time you managed to complete it.  Is there an approach that might help you get a higher score? E.g. Do all the addition sums first.

BMBT Learn Its Week 1

Today for negative numbers there is the choice of Mild, Spicy and Hot so consider how you managed yesterday and choose the level best suited to you but don’t be afraid to push yourself.  You can always look back at yesterday’s PowerPoint if you need a reminder and drawing your own number line from 20 to -20 and having it beside you would be a big help. Number-Lines

P6 Morning Post 21-04-20

Good morning Primary 6,

I hope you all had a lovely holiday, managing to spend time with your families in the lovely sunshine we have been having.  I know you were all back yesterday but today is my first day back.

This morning we would like you to do some maths and literacy tasks.  All tasks can be done straight into your personal learning blogs or on a word document to be uploaded to your PLB or in your jotters (photo uploaded if you can).  You don’t need to print them out to use them.

The literacy is the same for everyone. We’d like you to think about words that sound the same, or similar, but have different spellings and meanings.  These words are called homophones (one sound).

homophones-activity-sheet-1-2

The maths main task has a choice of mild, spicy or hot.  Look at all three before you decide which to try, maybe you can challenge yourself a little.

Mild:Mild-Maths-Addition-and-Subtraction-Working-From-Home-Activity-Booklet-2

Spicy:Spicy-Maths-Addition-and-Subtraction-Working-From-Home-Activity-Booklet-3-4

Hot:Hot-Maths-Addition-and-Subtraction-Activity-Booklet-3-4

Viktoria, could you nominate someone in our class to set the number of the day please? Mrs Lea will be in touch with her class about this.

I’ll post the answers sometime this afternoon.

Have a good morning everyone.
