P7 Afternoon Post 21.4

Good Afternoon Primary 7

Hope you have enjoyed working through your comprehension and negative number activities this morning.

Here are the answers for your numeracy work

Hot Negatives Tuesday Answers Mild Negatives Tuesday Answers Spicy Negatives Tuesday Answers

We have 2 activities for you to complete this afternoon. In RE today we are going to be looking at Saint Therese of Lisieux. There is a PowerPoint below that will give you some starting information and some links to websites with facts about her. Use the information you find to create a Fact File all about her life. There is a template below, you can use this or you can create your own version, the headings in the template might give an idea about the information you might want to include.

We will also be starting out new topic ‘Location, Location, Location’. During this topic we will be comparing our home country of Scotland with Canada, looking at famous people, places, the history, and everything that links them together!

To start off with complete the Venn Diagram attached, you can download and write directly onto it so draw it out in you jotter. Fill in anything you know about Scottish and Canadian cities, the culture, place names – anything that applies to both countries can go in the middle section of the diagram.

P5B Tuesday 21.04

Good Afternoon everyone.

Challenge afternoon.

ART www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMXJtiaNTac

I’m going to do it too so make sure you send it in and I can make a big collage of them all.

Secondly

Can you create  step by step instructions about how to post onto your LP? Think about how you have explained it to your parents or how you would show someone new to school.

OR

Learning about maps

 www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zkngrj6

Maybe take these skills and create a map of your garden ( hide some things, draw on the map and get your family to hunt for them)

or even a map of your room.

Have a lovely day. Would be great to see some photos on your LP of your treasure hunts.

P4B – 21.04.20 AFTERNOON POST

Good afternoon, P4B.

I hope you have been working hard on the morning tasks I have sent!

For the afternoon, we are going to have RE with a new kind of resource, a PIN protected Power point from Twinkl that allows you to check if you have got the labelling of the things inside the church right. You can always share your results, of course.

To access it, you need to google Twinkle go login and insert this code: SV1539

You should then be able to easily access it.😊

To finish off our day, I have something fun for you to do to an adult close to you. You need to repeat the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty first.

It’s here if you don’t know it:  HUMPTY DUMPTY RHYME

Then, you need to say it out loud to an adult in different ways, according to the different cards here:

SAY IT ANOTHER WAY DRAMA ACTIVITY 21.04.20

I hope you have fun doing it! 😂

Primary 6 Afternoon Tasks 21/4/20

Good afternoon! We are going to be using our creative and research talents!

Art

We will be learning about perspective (the art of making some objects or people in a picture appear further away than others.) We would like you to design your own aquarium. First study the picture and notice which direction all the lines are facing. Now watch the You Tube clip which gives you instructions on how to draw your aquarium. It might be an idea to get pens, pencils, a ruler and a black pen ready before you start! Enjoy yourself and we can’t wait to see the finished results posted on your profiles.

Social Studies

Our new topic for the final term is going to be the Jacobites!  We would like you to find out ten interesting facts about them using the internet or available books in your house. You should also research the following questions.

Who were they?

What did they want for Scotland?

Present you research in the form of a mind map or bullet points.

Have a great afternoon.
