Good afternoon everyone. I hope you have had a hard working morning and are ready for some creative learning this afternoon.
STEM Activity
We are going to do a STEM activity ( Science, technology, engineering and mathematics.) This task requires you to be creative and make a rocket using various materials. You should watch the You Tube clip carefully. The task does not need many resources so hopefully you will find most of them around the house. You are going to also use your problem solving skills once you have built the rocket. Experiment with changing the size of the fins and the length of the rocket and see what happens! Perhaps you could persuade a family member to join in and see who’s rocket design, travels the furthest distance in your garden. i’ts a lovely sunny afternoon have lots of fun !
Music
We would like you to use ” found sounds” ( keys, wooden spoons, paper, pencils, anything you can safely make a noise with) to create a rhythm to go along with your favourite song. You might be able to record your rhythms on your devices and upload them to your learning profile. We look forward to hearing any recordings you make.

Good afternoon P4. Well done for your fantastic work this morning. I hope you are remembering to take brain breaks and to go outside and get some fresh air.
This afternoons tasks are:
H&WB
Today I want us to think about similarities and differences, which help to make us all unique.
Music
Today for music we have a rhyme called ‘I Left My Luggage’ that has a simple tapping pattern. The words are quite complicated but you will get there with practice.
You’ll find the words and extra challenges in this document I-Left-My-Luggage

Good Morning P4B!
This morning’s tasks are:
Handwriting
Practice your cursive handwriting by writing these sentences.
Writing
Yesterday we looked at rhyming words. Some of you noticed in the poem I gave you that it also had repetition. Repetition helps to emphasise feelings or ideas, which helps to develop urgency.
Today, we are going to write a poem using repetition and the rhyming words you came up with for home, work, play and eat. The poem will be entitled ‘Lockdown’. I have written my own poem as an example, but I want to see your own personal poem about ‘Lockdown’.
Remember, I will be looking for sentences that are well structured using the correct punctuation and that make sense. I will also be looking for them to have rhyming words and the repetition you will see in my own poem.
Maths
Today we are going to design a new 50p coin. The Royal Mint (who make our money) often release special versions of 50p coins for special occasions. These have included the Olympics, Paddington, London Landmarks and Peter Rabbit.
Remember to upload your work to your PLB for me to look at and give feedback.

Hi and good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and enjoyed some of the Earth Day activities yesterday. Exciting news- on Friday morning we are going to have a live chat on TEAMS. Hope you will be able to join me. For security you will be able to see me but only hear each other so we will need to be patient. More details to follow…
Daily Challenge choose one of these and set yourself a time limit of 3 or 5 mins. Add to the challenge by getting a family member to compete to see who can get the most words in 3 or 5 mins.
Literacy
Spelling – Write your spelling words out in your best handwriting with pen or coloured pencils. Then choose 1 activity for your words.
Comprehension activity. This link will take you to a poem and 3 sets of questions. set A is mild, set B is spicy and set C is hot. Please try to write in clear sentences that show your understanding and fully explain your answers. Comprehension – Poetry
Numeracy
Today’s revision is addition. You don’t have to complete the whole set but try your best.
Have a lovely morning and I will hopefully speak to you on TEAMS. Remember to upload all you work to your PLB.

Good morning P2!
I hope you had a good evening and are ready for some learning?
This morning we are going to be doing some work on symmetry and our reading groups but it will be a bit different from when we are in school. We are going to use a website that lets us read books. You will find the book name for your group on the activity sheet. Try to read your book aloud to either an adult or an older brother/sister if you can. Remember to use your soundbox if you get stuck on a word! Please let us know if you are having any problems accessing the site or don’t know which group you are in!
Here are today’s activities:
