P5B Monday 27th April afternoon tasks

Good Afternoon.

For RE today, look at the worksheet and information about yesterday’s Gospel. Monday RE

What does it mean to you?

I think it means that we should look around us on every journey. Enjoy the company and the things that we see, and always look forward. It also makes me think that we shouldn’t run away from things but face fears and worries with our family and friends.

Remember;

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery

Today is a gift, that’s why we call it the present.

When you next go on a walk. Make a list of 10 things that you see or hear that made you smile or feel happy.

For some Art activities this afternoon

Choose one of these artists and complete the information sheet. If you can’t print, then just create your own poster with the same information on it. Have a look at some of their work online.

For HWB this afternoon you are going to be looking at different emotions. Work your way through the PowerPoint seeing if you are able to identify the emotions of the characters. There are 2 follow up activities, you can complete these in your home learning jotter, or on the computer. The first activity is an extension of the PowerPoint matching up the characters to their emotion and the second activity  is a bit more personal, what it is that makes you experience the range of emotions given.

For IDL you are going to be creating a starter Fact File comparing some information about Scotland and Canada. Below there is a word document and a pdf file, you can download these and type onto them, print them off or copy the headings into your jotter and complete the information there.

Here are some sites to get you started. Remember searching for subjects with ‘facts for kids’ will help you find more age appropriate and relevant information.

P4B – 27.04.20 AFTERNOON POST

Good afternoon boys and girls,

I hope you have enjoyed your morning tasks and that you had some fun while learning a lot!

For the afternoon, we will have some work on our new topic about the Romans.

First of all, I would like you to very attentively watch this clip on ancient Rome. It is really funny but also very informative!

You might need to do it 2 or 3 times and you might also need to stop it several times so that you can write down the answers to your questions.

The clip is here:

You can find the worksheet with my questions about the learning on the clip here:

Questions about ancient Rome 27.04

If you have managed to answer all these questions, that means you have been on task and are almost an ancient Rome expert now, so I would really like to see your work!

To finish off the day, what better than learning, with a good and easy tutorial, how to draw the Colosseum?

Let’s all give it a try and post our work after!😃

Have fun!

Mrs Valente
