P4B – 28.04.20 AFTERNOON POST

Dear boys and girls,

I hope you have learned a lot from your morning tasks!

In the afternoon, we are going to work on RE and Drama.

For RE, our learning will be on the 10 Commandments.

You will start by watching a video on the 10 Commandments:

After watching this video , create a poster with the 3 Commandments you have chosen as the most important ones.

Instructions:

1 – Write those 3 Commandments down neatly.

2-Illustrate the Commandments according to what they say.

3- Make your poster colourful and appealing in a way that it will catch people’s attention.

4- Answer to questions from your family about the Commandments you have chosen.

5- Post your poster on your blog and let me know when you have done it!

Don’t forget to follow instructions and to read everything carefully before you start watching!

For Drama, your challenge today is to improvise. Improvising means being able to create and perform (music, drama, or verse) spontaneously or without preparation.

Today, you will have 2 sets of improvisation cards and you will need to be able to continue what is being said in each of the cards! I hope it’s going to be lots of fun!

You will find the cards here:

IMPROVISING CARDS 2 28.04

Enjoy and have fun!

P7 Afternoon Task 28/4

Good Afternoon Primary 7

Hope you have been continuing to keep up the hard work! Here are your answers for maths this morning

BMBT Week 2 Answers

Patterns Answers

You have 2 tasks for this afternoon RE and Science.

For RE we are going to be looking at Pilgrimages. These are special religious trips that people travel all over the world to visit. There are many different pilgrimage sites and they are special for many different reasons. Have a look through the PowerPoint below that gives a brief explanation behind some of the most famous sites. Once you have had a chance to look through this, pick one of them to research further. When you have completed your research it is going to be your turn to act as a ‘tour guide’, you are going to share your knowledge with others. You can record your voice sharing your facts, create an advert or flyer that you might see explain what and why this is a pilgrimage site – it is up to you. When you are researching https://www.kiddle.co/ is a really good site to use, it is like google but the information that comes up is relevant and appropriate for children.

Today’s Science Work:

We have been learning a lot about energy, different types, how it changes from one to the next but is never lost and about renewable and non-renewable energy.

Today you have a choice of activities to take part in.  Some of them are practical so require resources – if you have these that’s great or if you can use suitable alternatives, that would work too. The other activities involve research and finding out more about energy. The tasks are found here:

Energy Science Tasks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZdI6jwiYFY Example of how to complete the marbles experiment

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/paper-roller-coasters/ Idea of how to build the roller coaster

If you complete one of the practical experiment,s pictures or video evidence can be shared to your PLB but you should also complete a recording sheet too.

Science Investigation Sheet

If you are completing a research task, think of how you are going to present your work.  There are many ways you could approach it but here is one option.

Remember to post any work yo your Personal Learning Blog. Enjoy the rest of you day!!

Primary 6 Afternoon Tasks 28-04-20

Good afternoon everyone, we are going to do some art and topic today.

Art  We are going to build on the one point perspective work that you produced last week and give you the opportunity to further develop your understanding of it. There are four examples of designs attached below, each of which uses perspective in a different ways and it is entirely up to you which one you choose to draw.

Topic  Less than a year before the Battle of Culloden, the Jacobites gathered at Glen Finnan to start their march into England. They marched as far south as Derby before they retreated. Use the map to mark their route and name important places on the way and mark them on the “mild” sheet. If you want to know more, research what happened at each of the places shown along the way and mark this on the “hot” sheet. You can print the sheets or if this is not possible have a go at copying the map into your home learning journal. Have a great afternoon and we are looking forward to seeing the finished work on your profiles.
