P4B – 01.05.20 POST

Good morning, P4!

I hope you are all well and have been really kind and helpful to your families and carers.

Today is Friday so you will soon have 4 whole days to rest and enjoy yourselves the whole time, since next Monday and Tuesday there are no tasks because they are a holiday and  a staff in-service day!🎈

But now there is still work to do, and as always on a Friday, our learning will be on RE and Health and Well being. Hope you like it!😃

You will find a Power Point that has been made for you about Taking part in Mass.

You can find it here:

Taking part in Mass – P4

There is a link to a song within the power point, if it doesn’t work well, copy and paste the address that is there. Thanks!😊

After reading it and FOLLOWING WHAT IT SAYS please answer these questions:

TAKING PART IN MASS- QUESTIONS

It’s now time for Health and Well being with our learning on the Right of the Week.

Read the Power Point and complete the tasks! You can find it here:

Article-12 – 01.05.20

Have a wonderful loooong weekend and don’t forget to keep safe and well!

P6A Tasks – Friday 1st May 2020

Good morning P6A! I can’t believe that it is the 1st of May already!  Happy May Day to you!  Here are today’s tasks:

Task 1 – Health and Wellbeing

We are going to investigate the importance of having your 5-a-day quota.  Have a look at the powerpoint and then complete the worksheet.  Remember I don’t expect you to print this out, just complete it on paper or type up a document.  Please try to upload this to your PLB.

Extension:  write a song or a short rap about the importance of having your 5-a-day!  You could video yourself doing this and then upload this to your PLB or, if it is too large a file, go to your waffle (through your email) and click Sharepoint where you can upload larger files.

5 a day presentation

5 a day worksheet

Task 2 – RME

We are going to learn a bit more about the Holy Trinity.  Look at the powerpoint and complete the task on the last slide.  You can always use an internet search engine to help you find out a bit more.  It’s not an easy concept but just do your best P6.  Thank you.

Holy Trinity 1.5.2020

Look forward to chatting to you in Teams at 10am!

Primary 7 Friday 1st May

Good Morning P7! Can you believe we are now in May?  The weather hasn’t been great as of late but looking at the week ahead it’s to improve again after the weekend so hopefully you’ll manage to still get out for your daily exercise and much needed fresh air.

Thank you for sharing your work with us on our Personal Learning Blogs – it’s great to see how hard you are all trying and making the best of a strange situation.  Keep it up as the move to High School is now really close!!!

Today’s RE Work:

May is a Month of Mary – a time where we pray to Mary, asking for her intercession.  For special intentions in the morning we’d say the Hail Mary or another prayer dedicated to Mary.  The Hail Holy Queen is one of these prayers. Copy this prayer into your Learning Journal – use a pen and your best joined up handwriting.

If you have a set of Rosary beads – look them out for this next task.  The Rosary is a set of prayers where we pray to God with Mary. This sheet has some blanks to fill in, bits to colour and prayers to say.

Rosary

Finish by listening to Bring Flowers of The Rarest – a lovely hymn dedicated to Mary.

Now – do something nice for your mum.

Today’s HWB Work:

We continue with our RRS work and UN Rights of a Child. Can you guess which article it is this week.

There is a PowerPoint which has some information and video links to watch before a range of activities for you to complete.  Choose the tasks you want to complete but the remember to share your work on you PLB so we can share them with Mrs Miller. I have also attached just the activities in a pdf file if that is easier to access.

HWB Article of The Week

HWB Activities

Have a great weekend Primary 7, remember it is a long weekend so there won’t be work posted again until Wednesday so take the time off to spend on yourself.  Re-read your favourite book, learn a new song, or dance routine.  Do things you enjoy and that bring you happiness – look after your emotional and mental health, they are so important.

Primary 6B Morning Tasks 1-5-20

Good morning everyone!  I really enjoyed looking at the columns you designed as part of your STEM project. It was amazing to see how many books they could support, although I believe the record was thirty- one books in P6A !  A reminder that there will be a video chat at 10.00am on Teams so that we can catch up and check that everyone is still keeping safe and healthy. Today we are going to do some RME and Health and Wellbeing activities.

Health and Wellbeing

It is really important to eat a healthy balanced diet but do we manage to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day? Sometimes it can be difficult! Do we really know what a portion size looks like? Look at the PowerPoint carefully and copy the food diary table into your jotters. Try to add at least five portions of fruit and vegetables to the menu. Now try to answer the questions on the Five A Day worksheet you will find all the answers in the PowerPoint.

5 a day presentation (1)

5 a day worksheet

RME

We are going to be learning about the  three parts of the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. It can be very confusing and even some adults find it difficult to understand !

Task 1

Read the PowerPoint carefully and do your best to understand the slides. Write a short paragraph describing to a friend what the Holy Trinity means.

Task 2

Design a new symbol helping children remember what the Holy Trinity means. There are some examples and ideas on slide three which might give you inspiration!

Holy Trinity 1.5.2020

Have a great weekend and keep safe !
