Good Afternoon Primary 7,
I hope you are all having a great week so far.
This week we are going to learn about a British-Canadian artist called Ted Harrison. Ted Harrison was born in England however he moved to Canada and is well known for his bright, colourful paintings of the Canadian landscape.
Use the link below to find out more about his life and work:
Attached below is an art tutorial on how to produce a landscape picture in the style of Ted Harrison. You can follow the tutorial and create a similar picture or you can be creative and create your own landscape picture.

If you don’t have all the resources, don’t worry, just use whatever you have available.
I’m looking forward to seeing your finished results on your blogs.
Here is the answers to your maths work from this morning:
Have a great afternoon,

Hi again, P4A!
I am sure you have been doing amazing work in the morning tasks and I am going to post here some more for you to learn about.
This afternoon we are going to learn about something really interesting: Roman numerals and how to write any number with Roman numerals!
Roman numerals are like a code, and as all codes, you need to know how to use it.
Here you will find a clip with all the explanations about it:
Followed by a clip with a song about the Roman numerals for you to sing and sing and sing!🤣
After all that singing, it’s now time to check if you have understood your Roman numerals and if you can write any number using them. To help you a bit more, here is a table with them all that you can copy down to your jotters:
Your task is to write the numbers of the months of the year – 1 to 12 in Roman Numerals,
followed by
-the birthdays of the members of your family who live with you, for example:
4-11-67 would be IV-XI-LXVII
It is tricky but it is also lots of fun!😃
TASK 2 – EXPRESSIVE ARTS – WITH ROMAN NUMERALS
Your challenge is to write your birthday in Roman numerals, using bits of paper, straws, fabric, spaguetti, other kind of pasta, rice, or whatever your imagination can think of.
As long as we can see your birthday and it is not just written down with pencil or pen, that is very good already!
Be creative and have fun!

Good afternoon Primary 6,
I hope you have had a good morning.
This afternoon we are going to do some music with BBC 10 Pieces. You’ve used some of the 10 Pieces resources before but they’ve added some special activities so you can take part at home. We are going to try the week 2 activity as it links in with all the rhythm work we were doing in class before we had to move to learning online. I’d love to see some short video clips of you making your own body percussion music. You may need to copy and paste the link into a browser on some devices:

Our other activity this afternoon is topic. Have a read through the information about the first Jacobite Rising and try the activities on the last two pages (you won’t be able to do the first task on the last page, don’t worry). See if you can find any other songs or poems related to the Jacobites, we will look at these next week.
Enjoy the afternoon everyone!

Good afternoon P4. Fantastic work completed this morning, well done!
This afternoon’s tasks are:
Science
Our skin is our biggest organ and has many different functions.

Music
Today for music we are going to listen to and respond to a piece of music.
Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. His hearing began to deteriorate in his late twenties, yet he continued to compose, conduct, and perform, even after becoming completely deaf.
Listen to Beethovens ‘Ninth Symphony’. Close your eyes and think about how you would describe it, what it makes you think about and how it makes you feel.
