P6A AM Tasks – Friday 29th May

Good morning P6A!  I hope that you are well.  It was great to see that lots of you managed to join Mrs Morrison for the class chat yesterday and brilliant to see some new faces drop in!  Here are your tasks for today:

Task 1 – Health and Wellbeing

You have been learning all about the Eatwell plate and the importance of a healthy diet.  Before we move onto learning about a different element of Food and health, you have one final task.

Create a poster/leaflet/powerpoint/sway about the consequences of an unhealthy diet.  You may need to carry out some further research into what happens when you eat too many fatty foods or you may already have some information from previous tasks and learning that you have already done about the human body before lockdown.  Don’t forget to upload your finished piece of work to your PLB.

Task 2 – RME

One of the learning intentions from this month’s RME plan is: I know that Jesus taught us to call God ‘Our Father’ (Matthew 6: 7‐15) and so we have the courage to pray the Lord’s Prayer.

I’d like you to reflect on the prayer using the Powerpoint attached and then complete one (or more!) of the tasks on the separate sheet.  I am looking forward to seeing your finished work later.

Primary 7 Friday 29th May

Good morning Primary 7, it looks like the weather is going to be hot and sunny all weekend so be careful to use sunscreen, or you’ll be as red as a lobster.

RE Task

As we come to the end of May we come to the end of the Month of Mary. So today we are going to pray to Mary, asking for her intercession and guidance.

We’ll do this by praying a Rosary, using the The Glorious Mysteries as they feature The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and The Coronation of the Blessed Mother. There is a pdf which explains how to properly pray the Rosary and gives you all of the prayers you need and the 5 Glorious Mysteries.

HowToRosary

There is a little Rosary colouring task if you would like to use it.

And finish by listening to this hymn which you may recognise from Mass at St. Peter’s.

RE Task

For Virtual Sports Fortnight you’ll need to complete the PE tasks set by Mrs Lafferty this morning and share your results to help your House win.

Have a great weekend Primary 7 and while the restrictions are easing a bit, remember to stay safe and keep washing your hands.

P4a- Friday 29th May Activities

Good morning P4a.

Here are your activities for today:

Task 1 – RME – The Pentecost

Watch this information Powerpoint about the Pentecost:

29.05.20 Pentecost-story-ks1-powerpoint_ver_1 (1)

Complete the worksheet here: 29.05.20 PENTECOST WORKSHEET. Remember, you can write the answers and draw the picture on a piece of paper.

Task 2 – Rights of Children – Health and Well-being

Watch, explore and try out the activities found in the PowerPoint about this week’s Right:

29.05.20 Article-of-the-Week_Article-15

You will see that this week’s Right will look a bit strange, since it now seems that we have stopped having the right/freedom to be with other people. Nevertheless, we are only doing it, as I am sure you are all well aware, because we want to keep ourselves and others safe and healthy. Thank you so much for being respectful and patient!

I hope you have a lovely weekend. Enjoy the sunshine!
