P6A AM Tasks – Monday 1st June

Good morning P6!  I can’t believe that we are already in June!  We would be starting to turn our focus to preparing for P7 if we were in school so some of the tasks that I set you might have this in mind.  Here are today’s tasks:

Task 1 – Numeracy and Maths

Start up task:  Take a look at the Daily Rigour problems and try to solve them!

The Daily Rigour 206 Worksheet

We are continuing to focus on line graphs this week.  Complete the TJ pages and I will share the answers later.

1st June Line Graphs sheet 1

1st June Line Graphs sheet 2

Task 2 – Literacy

If we were in school, we would be at the point of writing speeches to become the next Captain or Vice Captain of your house.  I’d like you to do that today as your writing task.  I really need as many of you as possible to upload or email your speech.  I am going to speak to Mrs McKissack and see if we can come up with a way to allow you to share these with the people in your houses so that we can still go ahead and select new House and Vice Captains for the start of the new school year.  I will share that information with you once I have it.

I have attached a powerpoint to give you some ideas about how to structure your speech and a planning template if you would like to use this to help you prepare.

Remember to upload your tasks to your Personal Learning blogs.  Have a good morning!

VIRTUAL SPORTS FORTNIGHT DAY 5

Good morning everyone,

Well done for making it to the end of week 1 of our Virtual Sports Fortnight.

Today’s challenge is going to be the bag for life sack race.  You will need to make sure that you are being super careful today and have a little practice before you get started.

Remember to film your attempt at the challenge and send this to the school e-mail address but also fill out your score sheet to ensure that I am able to access all of your points for your house.

*IMPORTANT* Please DO NOT send your score sheet to the school e-mail until you have completed the challenge on Friday 5th June.

Primary 6 Morning Tasks 29-5-20

Good Morning everyone! I can’t believe we have reached Friday already! Here are your tasks for this morning. Remember there will be a teams chat around 10.00am if you want to join in.

Task 1 – Health and Wellbeing

You have been learning all about the Eatwell plate and the importance of a healthy diet.  Before we move onto learning about a different element of Food and Health, you have one final task.

Create a poster/leaflet/PowerPoint/sway about the consequences of an unhealthy diet.  You may need to carry out some further research into what happens when you eat too many fatty foods or you may already have some information from previous tasks and learning that you have already done about the human body before lockdown.  Don’t forget to upload your finished piece of work to your PLB.

Task 2 – RME

One of the learning intentions from this month’s RME plan is: I know that Jesus taught us to call God ‘Our Father’ (Matthew 6: 7‐15) and so we have the courage to pray the Lord’s Prayer.

I’d like you to reflect on the prayer using the PowerPoint attached and then complete one (or more!) of the tasks on the separate sheet.  I am looking forward to seeing your finished work later.
