P4B PM Wednesday 10th June

Good afternoon P4.

Well done for the great work this morning. Remember if you would like to share your work with me and receive feedback, please upload onto your Personal Learning Blog.

This afternoon’s WHOLE CLASS tasks are:

H&WB

Today, lets learn about the importance of drinking water.

You need water to digest your food and get rid of waste. Water is needed for digestive juices, urine (pee), and poop. And you can bet that water is the main ingredient in perspiration, also called sweat. Besides being an important part of the fluids in your body, water is needed by each cell to work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31F0laJjyy8

  1. Hydration and Health ppt Hydration and health ppt
  2. Over the next week keep a ‘Water Tracker’ to see how much you are drinking each day to make sure you are keeping hydrated. Design your own chart for recording how much you have drank. Remember it must include the recommended amount each day! water tracker

Technology

Using what you have learned today about measure. Follow the instructions to make a rain gauge and have a look each day to see how much water has been collected. Rain Gauge

(Please do not worry if you do not have a plastic bottle. You can use anything that will collect water, such as a tub, plastic cup or bucket)

Last week you wrote an introduction to a story. This week, I’m hoping you will write the next part of the story.

The mainpart should be a dilemma or adventure. So think about the buildup to the adventure and what the adventure itself is. Next week we will resolve the problem or conclude the adventure

I’ve put the same planning resources from last week in case you have forgotten. Also a writers toolkit to help you plan.

We will write the story tomorrow.
