Primary 7 Wednesday 10th June PM
Good Afternoon Primary 7,
This afternoon we have an IDL Topic task for you. Included in the Booklet below are some Scottish Places and People of Interest and below each space for you to include your own Research on Canadian Places and People. We have included a Word version that you may be able to use to type and place pictures straight into or you could print the pdf or even just write in your jotter if you can’t print. Or you can choose to present your research in your own way. We’re looking forward to seeing where and who you decide to research.

Primary 6 Afternoon Tasks 10-6-20
Good afternoon everyone and I hope you are ready for more learning. We are going to do some Topic and STEM activities this afternoon.
Topic – Research
After the battle of Culloden, Highlanders were forbidden to carry weapons such as muskets, dirks, or the famous broadsword.
Task 1 Research the other laws and restrictions that were imposed on the highlanders after the battle.

The Battle of Culloden Moor marked the final defeat of Charles Edward Stuart ( Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite followers.) This is the sort of terrain through which Charles Edward Stuart was hunted after the defeat at Culloden. Bonnie Prince Charlie escaped uninjured from the field. A reward of £30,000 was offered for his capture.
Task 2 Research what happened to Bonnie Prince Charlie after the battle of Culloden.
You can choose how to present your findings.
STEM Activity
Your task is to use your previous knowledge gained from building paper columns and marble runs to design and create your own paper roller coaster.Watch the You Tube clip which will give you some ideas. There are no templates so you will have to make your own! Experiment with making different hills, loops and curves. Finally build your support and then test it! I can’t wait to see your finished designs uploaded to PLB.
Have a great afternoon !

P4B PM Wednesday 10th June
Good afternoon P4.
Well done for the great work this morning. Remember if you would like to share your work with me and receive feedback, please upload onto your Personal Learning Blog.
This afternoon’s WHOLE CLASS tasks are:
H&WB
Today, lets learn about the importance of drinking water.
You need water to digest your food and get rid of waste. Water is needed for digestive juices, urine (pee), and poop. And you can bet that water is the main ingredient in perspiration, also called sweat. Besides being an important part of the fluids in your body, water is needed by each cell to work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31F0laJjyy8
- Hydration and Health ppt Hydration and health ppt
- Over the next week keep a ‘Water Tracker’ to see how much you are drinking each day to make sure you are keeping hydrated. Design your own chart for recording how much you have drank. Remember it must include the recommended amount each day! water tracker
Technology
Using what you have learned today about measure. Follow the instructions to make a rain gauge and have a look each day to see how much water has been collected. Rain Gauge
(Please do not worry if you do not have a plastic bottle. You can use anything that will collect water, such as a tub, plastic cup or bucket)
