P4- Wednesday 17th June- Morning Activities

Good morning Primary 4.

I hope you enjoyed the tasks from yesterday. We are going to be working on internet safety today.

Here are your tasks:

Task 1- Who can we share it with?

It is important to know who you can share personal information with.

What is Personal Information?

Personal information identifies who we are, where we live, and how family, friends and others can find us to talk to us or come over and visit us. We need to be careful about who we give out our personal information. Click on the link below and it will take you to a video which explains how to keep personal information private.
https://planetnutshell.com/portfolio/what-is-personal-information-grades-4-6/

You can choose to complete activity 1 or activity 2.

Activity 1- Sharing information online
Look at the pieces of information and decide whether it is safe to share when you are talking to someone you don’t know online or in real life. Write safe or unsafe beside each piece of the information. Remember, you can write it in your jotter or on a piece of paper. Sharing Information Online Discussion Activity mild

Activity 2 Who can I share it with?

Your challenge is to read the scenarios on the worksheet and decide if it is safe to share  personal information with the person. Write yes or no for each scenario and explain your answer. Remember if you are not sure whether you should be giving someone your personal information, you should always ask a trusted adult for example your parents. Personal information who can we share it with scenario cards

Task 2 Treasure Map Coding

Your next challenge is to follow code commands to find the pirate’s belongings. There are three levels. The easiest are the questions with 1 star and the hardest are the questions with 3 stars. Treasure map coding

We hope you enjoy the tasks.

Primary 6 Morning Tasks 17-06-20

Good morning Primary 6.

Today we are going to have a bit of fun with our maths.  Do you remember we did some maths problem solving puzzle games before Christmas?  Well, I’ve found a few more.  Today you are going to solve the Mystery of the Missing Pirate Treasure.  I’ll post the answers later in the afternoon.

The Mystery of the Missing Pirate Treasure

Our other task this morning is the next section of our novel.  We need to finish the story before the holidays as I want to find out what happens to Robbie and Charlie!

The_Last_Wolf_-_Michael_Morpurgo-7

Once you’ve read the section of the novel, reread Captain McKinnon’s speech with the notes.  Imagine you are Captain McKinnon and write your diary entry for the day of the mutiny (when the crew and passengers tried to rebel against the captain’s authority).  Remember, the captain (you) can be honest about your feelings in your personal journal or diary.

The Last Wolf Activity 17-06-20

Have a good morning everyone.

Duck in the Truck

I hope you enjoy this story today Primary One!  Next week is our last week at school before we enjoy our summer holidays.  I thought because there will be one more story from Mrs Devlin that we could hold a vote and I will read the story with the most votes.  Your choice will be either ‘The Bear Cave’ by Michael Rosen  or ‘SUPERTATO Veggies Assemble’ by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.  Send your vote to: Maria.Devlin@westlothian.org.uk before Tuesday 23rd.

P7 16/6 PM Task

Good Afternoon Primary 7, we hope you are enjoying to continue working on your grand designs project.

For HWB this afternoon we are going to be looking at times when our emotional well-being has been impacted. The document below, gives a list of scenarios – have a look through them and then split them into positive impact and negative impact. Are there any more situations you can think of that might impact you? You can add these to both lists as well.

Pick one of the scenarios, from either group, that you have experienced – during this time what did you think? What did you do? What did you feel?

Tuesday HWB
