Good Morning! I really enjoyed seeing your fantastic work yesterday, you are learning to improvise when you can’t find the specific materials you need for a project. Today we have prepared budgeting and reading comprehension tasks.

Maths Starter  Look at the PowerPoint slide and complete the activities. Some of them are quite challenging so just do the examples you can !

Party Budget Planner Activity.  I would like you to design a party for family and friends once the lock down and social distancing rules are relaxed. The worksheets refer to a party for your class but your task is to plan a party budget for family and friends . Choose a mild, spicy or hot sheet and calculate your total expenditure, this will depend on the number of individuals you are going to invite.

Reading Comprehension  The passages are based on the Islamic celebration, Eid al – Fitr. Choose a mild,spicy or hot passage to read and answer the questions carefully in your learning journal. Remember to look for the correct information, present your work neatly and upload it to your PLP.

Extension Task – Research how people plan to celebrate  Eid remotely in the current climate. There celebrations may be very different to what they normally would be. They may have  arranged zoom meetings with families or have online parties  etc.
