Good morning everyone, I hope you have had a great weekend! This morning we are going to do some Literacy and Maths.
Handwriting – Watch the handwriting clip and remind yourself of the cursive handwriting joins. Next choose your favourite poem or song lyrics and write them out neatly, if possible using cursive handwriting. Perhaps you could use a special pen ?
Literacy – We are going to remind ourselves of how to use speech marks correctly by watching the You Tube clip . Next you are going to choose a mild, spicy or hot activity to complete.
Extension task Write a conversation between two friends using direct speech in the correct places. Remember to take a new line when each person is talking.to

We are going to learn about negative numbers and how they are used to read temperature scales in the real world. Watch the PowerPoint which will give you hints, reminders and some challenge games to complete too ! Next complete a mild, spicy or hot task.
Extension Task Create your own word problems using negative numbers and temperatures for a family member to solve .
