Good morning! And just like that we’re on the last day of our first week back to learning.
We’ve enjoyed seeing you wonderful work and reading excellent imaginative stories. We also really like seeing what else you are up to. Lots of people have been sharing different activities you have been doing at home with parents so remember you are encouraged to post these things to your Personal Learning Blogs too.
Friday is a day for RE and HWB and these subjects were picked for a very good reason. The importance of looking after our physical, emotional and spiritual self has maybe never been so important as this is a very challenging time. Know you can always contact your teacher if you need some advice.
RE: In Scotland we have a history of having famously beautiful abbeys. They all have fascinating stories behind them, are wonderful places to study, to walk round and to learn the history of. Today for RE you are going to choose a Scottish Abbey to research, find out what you can about it – where it is, when it was built, who lived there, what were the roles (jobs) of the people who lived there and perhaps why it may now be in ruins.
There is also history about Scotland’s oldest Universities, St Andrew’s, Glasgow and Aberdeen and their links to Abbeys, can you find out what it is?
You can choose to display your research in anyway – notes in your jotter, a word document, PowerPoint, poster. It is up to you!

HWB: We still want to achieve the Silver Rights Respecting Schools Award when we return to working in the school building so we need to keep up our RRS work, knowing about the different Articles and that the UN says these rights should be guaranteed for EVERY child in the world.
There is a PowerPoint which has some information and video links to watch before the final page is full of activities for you to complete. Do the tasks you are able to but the important thing is to share your work on you PLB so we can share them with Mrs Miller who has been working so hard to lead us in earning the Silver Award. I have also attached just the activities in a pdf file if that is easier to access for some.
Have a great weekend Primary 7, whatever you are doing remember to be safe and follow the advice – and why not do something nice for your parents, without being asked – remember it’s tough for everyone at the moment.
