What a fantastic week he have had. This week we celebrated Book Week Scotland we were so excited to find two boxes covered in shiny silver paper on Monday morning. We opened them to find our P1 Book Bags. This week we have completed lots of activities related to the books.
‘Holey Moley’ we looked at rhyming words and we completed rhyming activities. We drew triangle trees to represent the forest.
‘My Pet Star’ – we discussed how the star felt, we looked at our bedtime routines and also the difference between day and night.
‘One Goose Two Moose’ – we mearured our height using ice cream cones, we went to Morrisons to buy ice cream and we practised the Green Cross Code. We sorted safe and unsafe places to cross the road. We started to look at coins and had to choose the right coins to pay for ice creams. We also tried to make our own ice cream.
On Tuesday we had our outdoor session in Deans Woods with Kids Go Wild. We have a great morning were we went on a zip line, slack line and also got to use hammocks. We played in dens and also had free play time. It was cold but we had a great time.
Today our families came to our P1 Book Week Scotland Assembly and helped us complete tasks related to our Book Bug books. We had lots of fun and after playtime we got to eat the delicious ice cream we bought in the shop.
