P3/2 Highlights 25.10.24

Hello P3/2 families,

We have had a good first week back. We hope you had a lovely October break and feel rested and ready for term two!

Pupil highlights for this week:

Vasilisa loved “showing the P3 class our dance to our Ancient Egyptian song”.

We met our new class teddy Reggie and Tudor loved to see the picture of him in the cockpit of a plane on his holiday during the October break with Miss Mushet. The pupils loved smelling his birthday cake scented tummy!

The pupils loved playing Jenga and Kerplunk building on our social skills and turn-taking during our free play stations.

Many pupils also mentioned loving maths this week, focusing on problem solving linked to rounding to the nearest 10.

Zaroon enjoyed making a pyramid out of lego like in Egypt.

As always, every few Thursdays, the class loved dancing to the pizza song before lunch time!

For beyond number, we used Bee-Bots to program directions.

We also designed pharaoh masks during our free play stations and used playdoh to create representations of ancient Egyptian houses and pupils even made an ancient-styled toilet and bed, comparing them to the styles nowadays.

The pupils did a great job looking at rhyming words in preparation for our focus on poetry this term.

Well done to John who has taken Reggie home over the weekend for showcasing the school rules “ready, respectful and safe”.

Congratulations to Meir for receiving the Hot Chocolate award for going above and beyond this week!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Miss Mushet 🙂
