Dear Readers,
We all hope you have had a great time during Easter, celebrating the risen Jesus!π
This week in P3A we have been doing many different things and here are our highlights:
- In Literacy, we have done Reading Comprehension about our topic, Endangered Animals. We have learned about the difference between Facts and Opinions and had to identify them. We also had to write our own examples of facts and opinions and, at the end, report them back to the whole class. We ended up the week doing our Big Spelling Assessment to see how amazing we are, compared to the beginning of Primary 3. There was still some time for Handwriting to make sure we become better and better!
- In Numeracy and Maths we have worked a lot on division and multiplication and are now experts doing Number families! There was also time for us to start revising addition and subtraction and we had to solve really tricky sums and share the strategy we had used with the class! We have started to solve word problems with multiplication and division but that was still a bit tricky for most of us so we will continue practising.
- For Topic we have read the information in the Reading Comprehension worksheet, have discussed the alternative ways to get cleaner energy and have watched how wind turbines, solar panels and dams work to give us that greener energy. With the help of some brilliant step by step tutorials, we have learned how to draw turtles, giraffes and rhinos and felt really proud of our work!π’π¦π¦
- In RE, we have remembered to change the colour of our altar from purple to green, since Jesus has risen and is now time to be joyfulπ£. We have also learned the Confiteor, a beautiful prayer that we say together at the beginning of Mass and that means we are sorry for all our bad choices and we ask for God’s, the Saints’, all Angels’ and other people’s help to make better ones.
We would like to congratulate the last 3 Hot chocolates of the week:
