P6A Update

A fantastic week in P6A!

Our highlight for this week was definitely our trip to West Lothian college for the sustainability learning event. We all got up to different and exciting activities.

Group 1 – Scottish Owl Centre and making tote bags out of old t-shirts.

Group 2 – Virtual reality and Romany cube art.

Group 3 – Romany cube art and virtual reality.

Group 4 – Foodbanks and t-shirt tote bags.

We loved this and learned a lot! Mr Pentland really got into the Global Goals! Thank you to West Lothian College!

Both P6 classes have been busy with a lot of reading activities to continue our Book Week. We started a book study where we have been exploring and deepening our understanding of Into the Forest by Anthony Browne, we took part in a book tasting in which we tried out different books to see what we enjoyed most and we had the lovely opportunity to join P2A in the woodlands for an outside library session where we read stories to the younger children.

We all enjoyed learning about St. John Ogilvie and participating in the Feast Day Mass.

Patrick loved numeracy this week, continuing our work on area and perimeter word problems.

Joshua liked our book study and showed great understanding.

Well done everyone for another successful, busy week!

This week’s over and above winner was Vanessa! You have shown amazing effort! Well done.

The sumdog competition is now live! We were second last time, lets get first. But of course, we will try our best and be happy with whatever place we get.

Some photo highlights

Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday.

Mr Pentland.
