Good Afternoon Families,

We have had a very busy week in Primary 2A.

Learning Highlights:

Aadya – I enjoyed painting the sunset using different colours.

Angel – I liked block play.  I built a house with my friends.

Shay – I enjoyed building electrical circuits and making the bulb light up.

Jack – I loved PE.  I won the second game!

In literacy this week, we focused on the ‘a’ and ‘e’ vowel sound in the middle of the word.  We also did a piece of writing on our favourite food.  The children produced some fantastic work!

In maths and numeracy, we continued to work on 2D shape.  The children were counting the number of sides and corners on different shapes.  We also continued to count out numbers up to 100.

In Health and Wellbeing, we looked at how we can be ready, respectful and safe when we are at school and are in the process of making a display for our classroom.

We spent some time outdoors in the woodlands and the children made their face using natural materials.  We will be going to the woodlands every Wednesday afternoon, so it is important that the children remember to wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Here are a few photographs of our week:

We also welcomed a new pupil into our class. Her name is Grace and the children have made her feel very welcome!

Our hot chocolate Friday winner was Jiade! Huge congratulations to him! He always works his very hardest,  is an excellent listener and is kind and helpful to the other children in the class! We are very proud of you Jiade!

Have a great weekend everyone!
