This week we have been celebrating SJO Book week. As part of a whole school reading project we read the book ‘Bloom’ by Anne Booth. We drew our own flowers using oil pastels, sorted flowers in a Venn diagram, made compliment flowers and ordered flowers from the smallest to the tallest. We also wrote our own books with P2A and P3A. Each day we wrote a different part of the story. On Thursday we got to read the whole book that we had started. These will be published soon.
On Thursday we celebrated the feast day of St John Ogilvie. We learned a bit about his life and we joined in with Mass over Teams with Fr Simon. Miss Stebbing was very proud of how well we listened and how respectful we all were.
During outdoor learning we had all of the loose parts out. There were tyres, wooden planks, wooden bricks and tarpaulins. We built a house. Some of us enjoyed playing at the pirate ship. We also had a visit to the nursery garden to look at the buds on the trees.
On Friday we brought lots of pennies into school. We managed to fill 9 maps of Malawi! We also had a special treat for our school feast day.
Some of our personal highlights are:
