P2B have had a super week! We have been learning about the different spellings to make the ‘I’ sound and how to count a collection of coins to work out their total. We also went outside (the only time it was dry!!) to make our own clocks using hula hoops, chalk and rulers for the hands. The children loved this and worked well together to show me their answers on their clocks, as I shouted out questions, such as 2 hours after 4 o’clock.
We learned about the River Almond for our Livingston Topic and some of the children made their own rivers at home and sent videos on Seesaw – they were all super!
Highlights from the Yellow Table:
Addison – I liked the Gymnastics because we learned ‘tuck’ which is when you put your legs to your tummy like a ball shape.
Scott – I liked doing the wordsearch for ‘ie’ words. I found them all.
Cohen – I liked gymnastics because we done balancing like on one leg.
Ksawery – I liked when we went outside to do some time work with the hula hoop, chalk and rulers to be the clock hands. I liked to draw the number on the clock face.
Anthony – I liked doing the time lesson outside because I liked to move the rulers to show the time.
Haadiya – I liked doing the clock outside too because I like to make clocks.
My favourite activity was PE doing Gymnastics. We focused on balancing using different parts of our body and finished with a competition to see who could stand on one leg for the longest (whilst keeping as still as possible!)
Well done to Rowan for winning the Hot Chocolate Award.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Lawrence
