P7A Weekly update

We’ve had a very busy week in P7A.

Some of our highlights have been: finishing our project on the Rainforest and starting our new project on Japan;  inventing our own games in the woodlands: orienteering in PE with Mrs Lafferty and writing our simile poems.

Lots of us are very excited about our new project as we have a special interest in some aspects of Japanese life, art,  Manga and Anime.

We each wrote simile poems beginning with a positive and a negative emotion.  Here are some of them for you to enjoy:

Safe,

as being cuddled by your siblings,

like a star in the sky,

with the ones you loved watching over you.

Kiera

Sadness,

Tears flowing like the ocean waves on a stormy night,

As cold as ice,

Tears dripping like the rain.

Connor

Sadness,

Blue like a cloudy night with no moon to light the way,

Tears flowing like a river, falling like the rain,

Sobs as loud as thunder.

Megan

Depression

Dark, loneliness, empty.

Feelings overwhelming, swirling, sinking.

Its cold grip pulling you further and further into despair.

Depression

Carla

Sadness

In the wind

Rushing through your veins

Angry waves in the deep ocean

Waves as big as a mountain

Ciaran

Happiness

As yellow as the beautiful sun

Flowers blooming like a beautiful resolution

Calming like petting an animal

Amy

Happy

as warm as a blanket

like a beautiful flower

as fluffy as a teddy bear

Callum

Strong

Like you can fight anyone who comes your way,

Tries so hard to ace every test,

Seeing the Starbucks logo only makes me stronger.

Temi

Joyful

As a lollipop

Bright as the sun

Burning like the sun

Luke D

Happiness

Colours of the rainbow

Flowing over you

like a different world of candy

Dawid

Happy

As gold as a goldfish

Like slippery fish having fun

Happy as skipping on the beach

Ralfs

Anger

As red as flaming fire

A hot as boiling lava,

Hot air dripping on your face,

Disappointment

Viktoria

Loneliness

As a tree alone,

Lonely as black,

Black as a midnight sky.

Julia

Deceitful,

As green and as slimy as a snake,

Slithering through your body,

Chilling, like a melting iceberg.

Liam

Sadness

As dark as a storm

As tear filled as a cloud

As much tears as rain

Luke L

Happiness

As yellow as the shining sun,

Like bright rays of sunlight,

Lightening up your day.

Sarah

Loneliness

As black as a deep cold night,

All alone in the pouring rain,

Empty as a dark soul lurking inside of a dead spirit.

Zuzanna

Happy

As a shining star

Yellow like the sun

Showing happiness

Having a big smile on my face.

Amelia

Lonely

As someone when someone they loved dies,

Empty and sad felling rubbish,

As black as the sky when it’s dark.

Lonely

Hashim

Happiness

Yellow as a lemon,

Bright as a sun blooming like a flower,

You always have a smile on your face.

Keedie

Depression

Like a never ending black hole

A deep endless painful sorrow

Failure flowing down a river

Misery through your whole entire life

Israel

Happy

Yellow like the sun

Smile spread from ear to ear

Like a bird with yellow wings

Aidan

Anxious

As black as cigarette smoke,

Feeling as if you aren’t good enough and everyone’s judging you,

Feeling like the walls are closing in and nobody wants to help you.

Rose

Happiness

as yellow as the sun,

a smile shooting up like a shooting star,

like lemonade.

Niya

Loneliness

Like a star in the vast ice black void of space

Spinning endlessly through shades of black upon black

Like a wandering soul searching for the purpose of life

James

Sadness

As black as the darkness in a black hole,

As dark as the midnight sky,

Like an abandoned warehouse.

Andrew

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
