Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we have been learning about discussion writing! We have created plans and used these to discuss arguments for and against preserving our rainforests! We have also been learning how to spell tricky words and highlighting the letters that people might miss out when writing them! In maths, we tried to draw our school from a birds eye view and create a key to represent other items surrounding the school. Some of us found this very tricky! We have also drawn amazing animals for our rainforest display. In RME, we learnt about the meaning of All Souls Day and made colourful candles to remember the people who have passed away. We participated in an online transition lesson this week, and learnt about political parties and what they stand for! Aaron, John, Reya, Ailsa, Sophia, Mason and Emily represented our school in a cross country event and did amazingly well, displaying determination and sportsmanship on a very wet day!
Here are some of our learning highlights:
Ailsa ” I enjoyed the writing based on the rainforest topic.”
Logan ” Outdoor learning was fun this week.”
Sophia ” Creating our class display and drawing the animals was good fun.”
Aaron ” Learning about All Souls Day was interesting.”
Maths ” I enjoyed learning how to draw a birds eye view of our school! ”
Have a super weekend!
Mrs Lea and P7A
