Dear Readers,

We hope you are all very well.

Here are this week’s highlights:

• Our new spelling ‘animal; words for the week, finding out where those animals come from, what they look like and practice the spelling of their names throughout the week. We also absolutely love the weekly spelling assessment and get all excited by it!
• The story of Our Lady of Fatima and her six apparitions in Portugal to Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, three little shepherds, in 1917. Since the last apparition was exactly on the 13th of October, we celebrated its 108th anniversary by learning all about it. We were particularly amazed by the Miracle of the Sun and even got to draw it! They looked beautiful! 💕
• The Outdoor Session with Kids gone Wild where we have had the chance to try lots of new things in the woodlands, including a zip line and hammocks! It was really cool and we were there for the whole morning, having fun and being active!
• Football with Steve and his helpers where everyone has had the chance to play!
• Gardening in our school grounds, making them much nicer and organised!
• Learning all about angles, how to name them, how to use the protractor to measure them and how to classify them according to the different types of angles. We have also enjoyed our work on full turns, half turns, quarter turns and three quarter turns.
• Learning about Personification and how it is a tool to make our writing more interesting and fun.
• Praying a Decade of the Rosary every day, while thanking Our Lady for all the good things She gives us and asks Her Son Jesus to give us.
• Big Maths, Beat That was super exciting as well, especially because this week three of us went up another level! Well done Adya, Ksawery and Vinayakarthik!😊🥇
• Congratulations again to Adya for being a super duper sweet and caring Hot Chocolate of the week! Keep it up and continue being amazing!🥇😍
• Because today was the final day of the 1st Term, it was time to count our Harry Potter Houses Points and…………… Slytherin won with 90 points! Absolutely amazing! Congratulations to all Slytherins and keep up the fantastic work! But give other houses a chance to win as well, please!🤣All Slytherins won an exclusive Harry Potter foldable ruler to reward them for their great achievement and the Slytherin House flag was put over our classroom’s door for everyone to see!
• Finally, we really enjoyed dress down day and having the opportunity to wear our favourite clothes while we were at school!

Mrs Valente’s highlight of the week:

• Looking at Slytherin’s boys and girls happy faces while celebrating their victory!😍🏆
• Watching the way we all had fun playing together in the Woodlands and also how brave we were when trying to do new things we didn’t feel comfortable doing before! 😊
