What a fantastic final week of term we have had!
In Literacy, we have been learning the sounds ‘g’ and ‘l’. We have been practising forming the letters correctly in our jotters. We completed a Christmas themed CVC word activity where we had to match up the words and pictures. Miss Stebbing was very impressed with how confident we were in reading the words.
In Maths, we have been completing Christmas patterns and symmetrical pictures. We also measured different items to identify the tallest, shortest and longest. We then had to sort ourselves from shortest to tallest.
We have been doing lots of Christmas art and craft activities this week. We have been keeping them all in our special snowman bags and we can’t wait to take them home to show our families.
On Thursday, we had some time with our buddies who had made us some maths games to play. We then had our Christmas Party in the afternoon. We had lots of fun dancing and playing party games in the hall and then had our snack in the area. A huge thank you to Mrs Lafferty who organised all the dancing and games and to the support staff who organised all the snacks. We had a special visit from Santa who gave the P1 pupils a present.
Wishing all our P2/1 families a very happy Christmas and a huge thank you for all your support throughout this term. I can’t wait to see everyone back in 2025!
