This week we have been practising our word building skills and we have shown great confidence. We have used lots of games on the smartboard to help us. We did some writing about a Summer picture and we used all our sounds to write the words. The staff were very impressed! During ERIC time we pretended to be at the beach while we were reading.

In maths, we have been using all our different strategies to complete addition and subtraction calculations. We have enjoyed playing Ghost Blasters to help us to practise.

In topic, we learned about some of the Olympic sports and we were very interested in the fencing event. We also looked at the pictograms for the Paris Olympics and we were able to guess most of them correctly.

There has been a lot of interest in drawing on the smartboard this week and we have had some fantastic creations built in the construction area.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our assembly. We loved performing for you all and taking part in some activities.

Well done to Ollie who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week.
