P2B Week Beginning 6th March 2023

Hello P2B families!

Here are our highlights from the Green Table:

Maja thought that our Woodland Library event was the best!  P2B were lucky as we had 2 Woodland Library events!  One session was with P4 reading to us and one was with P6.

Eli always LOVES joined up handwriting!  This week it was joining ng together.  Next week we plan to revise the joins we have learned so far before moving on (un, ig, ed, an and ng).

Lilly said the best part of her week was learning about the importance of cleaning our teeth.  The children practised flossing on themselves.  We learned a song that Mrs Devlin made up for her own children.  Ask your child if they can sing it to you!

Sofia loved giving the dinner tickets out with Mrs Begley this week.  She was the successful candidate of the application form for Office Assistant in P2B.

TJ  really enjoyed making music this week.  We went out the MUGA with a range of musical instruments and in groups, tried to recreate river sounds (linked with our book study, ‘The River’ and our learning about the River Almond).

Karina said the best part of her week was learning about the history of Livingston and is excited to make ‘De’Leving’s Peel’ next week!

Mrs Devlin’s favourite part of the week was the learning about the different strategies we can use to ‘Get Back to Green’.  The children have been learning about the different Zones of Regulation.  We learned about all the different things the children can do to make their brain feel  happy and calm again: dancing, listening to music, spending time in nature, painting, reading, crafting, having a snack, having a drink of water, taking deep breathes, cuddling a teddy, receiving  a hug, talking to someone about their worries/problems…….

Congratulations to Theo, our Hot Chocolate award winner for this week!
