Primary 4b weekly blog post

We’ve really enjoyed celebrating World Book Day/Week this week.  We’ve continued exploring our book, Here We Are, Notes for living on Planet Earth.  We’ve learnt about the core, mantle and the crust, plate tectonics, mountain formation and the water cycle.  We enjoyed guessing who the teachers were in the Masked Reader activities and also reading to the primary 2s in the woodland.  We learnt about presenting data in maths, for example in tables, tally charts, block charts and bar charts.  We’ve also learnt about St John Ogilvie this week and today we had our Feast Day Mass.  We were very lucky to eat some yummy cake afterwards!

Our highlights:

Matteo: I enjoyed Feast Day Mass because it was all about St John Ogilvie.  We sang songs and I really enjoyed them.

Paige: I liked doing art because we made personality swirls and did some drawing in the style of Steven Brown.

Aiden and Amelia: We really enjoyed giving Mrs Lafferty a big (gentle!) squeezy hug because we found out she’s having a baby!  Ashley: I enjoyed having a class vote about whether it is a girl or a boy.

Daniel M and Jonah: We enjoyed trying to find out who the masked readers were.

All of us: we enjoyed eating cake today!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Mrs Brown
