Hello P2B families!
Here are our highlights from the Yellow Table:
Isabella reported that the highlight of her week, were the lessons on a new Narrative story that we have been studying, called, ‘Big Cat, Little Cat’. A Narrative begins with addressing, who, when and where and then goes on to present a problem and a solution. Isabella is looking forward to writing her own Narrative story next week!
Ollie enjoyed looking at the baby pictures that came in early. The children hardly ever guessed right! This helped us to learn that we develop and grow as we get older and that our needs and wants change. We are looking forward to the remaining photos coming in and continuing this fun game! Thank you parents for taking the time and effort to send them in.
Musa said that he enjoyed PE with Mrs Lafferty where the children continued to practise their ball control skills.
Tharun enjoyed our final handwriting lessons of letters in isolation. He (and the class) are so excited to begin joined up writing now!
Lewis recounted that the best part of his week was the learning about the emergency services that can be accessed when phoning 999.
Mrs Devlin’s favourite part of the week was when we learned about Chinese New Year. The children had good fun using chopsticks, making Chinese lanterns and of course, receiving a chocolate coin in a red envelope. Silly Mrs Devlin forgot to bring in the fortune cookies! We have that to look forward to next week.
Congratulations to Karina, our Hot Chocolate award winner this week and to Isabella, our Reading Champion!
It looks like the weather will be much improved next week, so fingers crossed that we can go on our walk around the local area on Tuesday.
