A busy week of National Assessments this week, all P7s in Scotland complete these standardised assessments, though at different times throughout the year, and they give some insight on how our children are progressing and any areas of development needed to work on before the transition to high school. When assessments are fully completed by the whole year group, I’ll share results with the pupils and look into the best way to share with parents.

After finishing our Reciprocal Reading Novel ‘Skellig’ by David Almond we watched the film and discussed similarities and differences between the film and book. The overall consensus was that the class enjoyed the movie more as it was easier to understand/follow than the book.
