Dear Parents,
Another busy week for Primary 7 as we head into advent.
On Monday afternoon P7a led our Area Advent Service where all 4 classes got together to hear the start of the Advent story, the meaning of the wreath and candles and sing some Christmas Carrols. It was lovely being able to have all 4 classes take part again and P7b will lead next Monday’s Service.
In maths and literacy we have continued to write explanation reports and work with Fractions Decimals and Percentages.
We were working with maps on Wednesday’s outdoor learning and next week we will use these skills to complete some orienteering courses.
We have been painting as part of the school’s Christmas Door Competition and managed to get it all finished for Friday’s Deadline.
In PE we have begun our Scottish Country Dancing to prepare for our Christmas party.
And on Friday we enjoyed getting to wear out PJs to school and brought in donations to help out our local foodbank.
Ruqayyah’s highlights of the week were:
“I have really enjoyed orienteering and trying to figure out how to use a map. i have also liked doing Scottish Country dancing for our Christmas party. We have also been learning about angles and their names.”
Alessio’s highlights of the week were:
“I really liked all of the things we did this week but I liked PJ Day, it was very fun.”
This week’s Hot Chocolate at Home Winner was….
Joshua! Great job Joshua who was also our Reading Champion this week so he’s a double winner!!!
Have a great weekend,
Mr McGurn and P7a
