Everybody is continuing to work extremely hard and it has certainly been a productive week in Primary 3B!

We would like to congratulate Ksawery on being our Hot Chocolate Award winner! Ksawery has been trying incredibly hard to be Ready, Respectful and Safe! Well Done!

Literacy – This week we have been practising our spellings using some very fun and effective learning strategies! Children chose a ball from the basket and read the word to their partner, who had to write the spelling down on their white board. We also made our own word searches using the spelling words, practised rainbow spelling; as well as ‘Look, Cover, Write, Check’.

Also in Literacy, we enjoyed a reading comprehension task based on the story ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’. We revisited ‘Verbs’ and sorted these to create a poster, as well as acting these out using actions. Lots of Children enjoyed our book ‘Six Dinner Sid’ as part of our Word Boost activities this week. We learned some new words to use in our work; agile, dare, defend, require, swoop and appetite.

Numeracy – In Numeracy, we have been focusing on Place Value and specifically how our numbers are constructed into different digits; ones/units, tens, hundreds and thousands. Children enjoyed exploring place value using a variety of equipment, such as; Dines, money and Cheerios!

Maths – We are revisiting time and will be focusing primarily on the analogue clock. If you have a watch, please wear it to school because this will help you!

Other highlights this week include P.E (movement) and Spanish, where we practised our greetings and colours.

Have a wonderful weekend!
