P2B Week Beginning 16th May 2022

P2B have had a very busy week. We have been learning about the human body and what bones make up our skeleton. We then went to the woods to collect sticks and make and label our own skeletons. We read the book ‘Supertato’, linking to our topic of Good vs Evil. We carried out an ice melting experiment to see what makes ice melt quicker/slower. The children made their predictions before and carefully observed as the ice began to melt. We also made superhero masks which looked awesome! In Maths, we have been learning about directions using the BeeBots. The children programmed the BeeBots and celebrated when they arrived at the correct destination. Some children wanted to make their own BeeBot mats, one group done Space and the other a Farm. They put so much effort into these mats and had lots of fun moving the BeeBot around their own mat.

Highlights from the Green Table:

Georgia – I liked PE because I liked playing Disco Tig and doing a race balancing a bean bag on our heads.

Vinayakarthik – I liked the human skeleton because it was interesting to learn about all of the bones. I liked making a skeleton with sticks in the woods.

Alex – I liked making the superhero mask after reading the book Supertato.

Flynn – I liked playing with the BeeBots and making our own farm mat.

Well done to Amelia for winning the Hot Chocolate Award and Kacper for becoming the Reading Champion.

Have a lovely long weekend,

Miss Lawrence
