P1A Learning Highlights 20th May 2022

This week we have been reading the 3 Little Pigs for the Dragon. We have a 3 Little Pigs building site and we have been building houses with bricks, sticks and straws. Some people have been pretending to be the Big Bad Wolf and they try to blow the houses down! In writing, we wrote the story of the 3 Little Pigs. We are getting very good at remembering full stops.

In Maths, we ordered the pictures from the Little Pigs story from smallest to the biggest. It was tricky to fit them all on the paper but we tried our hardest. We have also been practising our subtraction sums and we are remembering to count back.

On Wednesday we did a Huff and Puff Challenge. We had to blow different objects across the classroom. The peg, the marble and the pencil were the hardest. The balloon and the ping pong ball were easier. We were puffed out at the end!

In Spanish we revised all the things we have been learning over this year. We got to sing our favourite song which is all colours.

Some of our personal highlights this week are:

Caleb – I enjoyed playing in the Lego and I liked playing in the building site.

Zion – I liked playing in the building site.

Rory – I liked playing with the Lego.

Jack – I like playing with the Buddies.

Diana – I liked playing with everything.

Angel – I liked doing everything.

Vivien – I liked playing at outdoor learning.
