P3B Learning Highlights – 11.3.21

This week we have been celebrating our SJO Book Week.  The children have been involved in lots of activities to try to promote and encourage reading.  This has included a whole school book project on the book ‘Bloom’, a collaborative writing project where we worked together to write a new chapter for a book each day and also making bookmarks for another class in our school.

Some of the children made book characters using spoons, here are a few examples:

On Thursday we celebrated the feast day of Saint John Ogilvie.  We learned all about his life and took part in a lovely online mass with Fr Simon.  Then on Friday, we received a very special treat of a cupcake and some juice to celebrate!

On Friday we brought lots of loose change to school for SCIAF.  We brought so many pennies, we managed to cover 6 maps of Malawi!

Here are some of our highlights this week:

Millie – Making a book mark for another class for world book day

Jonah – Doing activities relating to the book Bloom.  I liked making the flower pictures.

Aiden – Choosing the EPIC book winner.

Mia – Getting a treat for SJO feast day!

Matteo – learning the 4 times table.

Paige – Learning about bar charts and Venn diagrams

Have a great weekend,

Primary 3B
