P2B Highlights Week Beginning 28th February

P2B have had a fantastic week. We have been learning about fractions, half and quarter, by cutting pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. The children loved this, especially spreading the toppings on each quarter and eating them after!

We have also been learning about Ash Wednesday and made our own Lentern Promises for Lent. We started reading a class novel, Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. For World Book Day we had a Fantastic Mr Fox themed day, learning more about foxes and how to draw them. We also made Fox masks which the children loved wearing whilst we read another chapter of the book.

Don’t they all look Fantastic?!

Highlights from the Green Table:

Georgia – I liked tasting the chocolate for Fair Trade Fortnight. I liked the one that had the Fair Trade Logo better.

Flynn – I liked when Father Simon put the cross on my head. It was a mix of oil and ash and I liked it because it was black.

Alex – I liked music because we did the Gingerbread man story and I like doing the actions.

Ella – I liked the chocolate because it was yummy. I learnt how it is made from cocoa beans and it takes 5 years to grow them on the tree and that’s a really long time.

Vinayakarthik – I liked making the fox mask because I got to colour it and wear it. We have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox. I like Mr Fox but not the three farmers.

Ellie-May – I liked the gingerbread song because it was fun to sing along and learn the words.

Well done to Olek for winning the Hot Chocolate Award!

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Lawrence
